Terms of Use
These terms are an agreement between you and Fintex Australia Pty Ltd (ABN 60 688 406 108), New South Wales, Australia, which provides Transport: Sydney Live ("we", "us"). They cover the app for iPhone and Android, this website and the server the apps use. Contact: [email protected].
The short version. The app is free to use. Times come from Transport for NSW and can change or be wrong, so always check signs and announcements at your stop. Use it sensibly and do not try to break it.
Using the app
You can use the app for free for your own personal travel. You do not need an account. By using the app or website you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use them.
Transport information
Departure times, trip plans, alerts, occupancy, vehicle positions and other transport information come from Transport for NSW Open Data and may be delayed, incomplete or inaccurate. Services can change or be cancelled at short notice. The app shows whether a time is live or from the timetable, but we cannot promise any service will run as shown. Always check official signs, announcements and transportnsw.info before you travel, especially for the last service of the night.
Alerts and notifications
Leave now alerts, delay alerts, morning checks and other notifications are a convenience. They depend on live data, your phone, your network and push services outside our control, so they can arrive late or not at all. Do not rely on them alone where missing a service would cause serious problems.
Fair use
Please do not:
- use the app in a way that breaks the law or the Transport for NSW Open Data terms;
- scrape, overload or attack the app, the website or the server, or try to get around their limits;
- copy or resell the app or its data as your own service;
- send abusive content through Ask or by email.
We may limit or block access that harms the service for other people.
Data and licences
Contains transport information from Transport for NSW Open Data, licensed under CC BY 4.0. Map data © OpenStreetMap contributors, used under the Open Database License. This is an independent app. It is not made, endorsed or supported by Transport for NSW or the NSW Government.
Your content
Trip names, saved places and messages you send stay yours. You let us store and use them only to run the app for you, as described in the Privacy Policy.
Changes and availability
We may change, pause or stop features, the website or the apps at any time. We will update these terms when that matters, and the date at the top will change.
Liability
The app is provided as is. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for missed services, delays, costs or other losses that come from using the app or from information in it. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under the Australian Consumer Law that cannot be excluded.
Law
These terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia.
